Ifunanya Proves a Lioness

The twenty one year old Ifunanya battles to regain her place in the Gulder Ultimate Search season 10. On the 13th day in the jungle, Ifunanya goes head to head with Mary, one of the twins in the opposing tribe due to their poor performance in The Octave task.

The Octave task was designed to test the warriors’ ability to focus their energy, action, feelings and mind into the moment and activity at hand. In the first phase the warriors would take turns to lower themselves into the river with the aid of a rope, flow with the current to a piece of puzzle hooked to a rope tied across the river, unhook the puzzle and hook it anywhere on their body. They would then hoist themselves to shore with the aid of the rope and then drop the puzzle on a mat beside the Anchor. The tribe warrior that spends the lengthiest time performing the tasks will have to go into the second phase against the other tribe’s least performing warrior. In the second phase, the weakest links from each tribe would fix the pieces of the Octave puzzle and the first warrior to solve the puzzle in 30 minutes wins.

After 30 minutes of mental combat between the two warriors and no winner merged, Chidi Mokeme, the Anchor man decides to help them by putting three pieces of the puzzle in the right places. At the end of an additional 20 minutes, Ifunanya emerged victorious leaving Mary evicted from GUS season 10. The lioness continues the search for The 10th Symbol.
