On October 4, 2013, Prof. Bartho Okolo has revealed the current ranking of the University of Nigeria based on research and publications as published by Researchgate. The VC disclosed while addressing newsmen at Enugu campus of the university on the occasion of the 53rd Founders’ Day celebration and Golden jubilee of the first graduates of the university scheduled for 2-7 October. “This years celebration is unique in the sense that we are celebrating another milestone;the golden jubilee of the first graduates of the university who numbered 200 on admission and bore the registration number of 60/001 to 60/200. Based on research and publications as published by Researchgate- Berlin based network , our university occupied the second position in the latest ranking of Nigerian universities and 22nd in Africa” said the VC.
