The authorities of Osun State College of Education, Ila-Orangun have
introduced new dress code for both the male and female students of the
institution in the name to ensure strict discipline on
campus.
The Acting Provost of the college,
Dr Bashiru Gbadamosi, who announced this at the maiden matriculation ceremony
for students undergoing degree programme of the Ekiti State University at the
college, said the institution introduced the dress code to avoid indecent
dressing by students while on campus.
He said the new dress code would
afford the students a sense of dressing, which would in turn be beneficial to
the society.
Dr Gbadamosi who frowned at the level of indiscipline amongst students of
tertiary institutions in the country, said the authorities of the institution
would be strict with the new dress code, adding that erring students would be
severely punished.
He stated that, “it is morally
deficient to engage in indecent dressing on campus. In fact, the college has
dress code entrenched in the college handbook, which all students should
compulsorily adhere to. Violation of the dress code is considered a serious act
of misconduct and shall attract stiff penalty.
Don't think this will solve the problem of indent dressing, it will only increase the level of creativity of the students. What's your take
