3 Aspirants Protest Selection Procedure In UNIZIK VC Race

                                   
As the race for the position of Vice-Chancellor, Nnamdi Azikiwe University UNIZIK, Awka hots up, several contestants for the position have kicked against the selection procedure adopted by the Governing Council.
 
The aspirants, which includes the provost of UNIZIK College of Medicine, Professor Clement Ezechukwu, a professor of Accounting, Benjamin Osisioma, and another professor at the Awka campus of the university submitted their petitions to the chairman of the governing council, Air Vice Marshall Larry Koinyan (rtd).
 
They accused the selection committee headed by the chairman of the governing council of jettisoning the guidelines stipulated during the executive session of the council on April 24. However, the lecturers of UNIZIK vowed not to accept any move to impose an unpopular person as the next VC of the university.
