Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma Abolish Pass Degree

                                              
Guess the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) is not the only school dealing away with Pass Degree from their institution. The Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma senate at its regular meeting held on Wednesday, 28th May, 2014 considered the directive of the National Universities Commission (NUC) on the of subject Pass Degrees and directed that the award of Pass Degrees inis hereby abolished with effect from the 2013/2014 academic session.

The grading system and the Grade Point equivalent in line with this directive should be adjusted as follows:
  • Credit Unit will vary according to contact hours assigned to each course per week per semester, and according to load carried by student.
  • Percentage Scores: 70-100: A, 60-69: B, 50-59: C, 45-49: D, 0-44: F.
  • Grade Point Average (GPA) for degrees are; 4.50-5.00 First Class, 50-4.49 2nd Class Upper, 2.40-3.49 2nd Class Lower, 1.50-2.39 3rd Class
