TASUED Students Protest Against School Management

                                         
The students of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), Ijagun, Ogun State embarked on a violent protest against the school management. The students were protesting the school management’s decision to prevent those that have not paid their school fees from sitting for the on-going 2013/2014 first semester examination.

It was a free for all as the students destroyed lecturers cars and other properties within the school premises as well as attacking the school security and journalists around. When contacted, the Vice-Chancellor of TASUED, Prof. Oluyemisi Obilade said that the protest was caused by the Student Union Leaders whom she blamed for being unreasonable and ignorant to the laws of the institution.Continue...
She said that the school management was right to stop those that didn’t pay their school fees from writing exams. It was gathered that the angry students destroyed the College of Humanities building and the the VC’s Office while also carting away properties from the school canteen.

After protesting in the school premises, the students mobilised and stormed the arcade ground in front of the governor’s office at Oke Mosan, Abeokuta were the secretary to the government, Mr. Taiwo Adeoluwa later addressed them.
